Smoke: Marijuana + Black America

SMOKE is a two-hour BET documentary special that examines America’s burgeoning cannabis industry and the fight for weed equality, as the country marches toward full legalization. SMOKE is told through the lens of cannabis innovators, activists fighting for equality, and those citizens who have been sidelined by criminalization of the plant. As the nation grapples with attitudes surrounding cannabis use, commerce and prohibition, SMOKE examines how we got here, shines a light on the black and brown trailblazers who are leading the way forward, and opens a dialogue about social justice. Most importantly, SMOKE asks the question: What’s next?
